Yuva for Sustainability

Empowering Youth as Sustainability Champions​

The Voices of Bharat: Yuva for Sustainability initiative aims to harness the storytelling potential of India’s youth through podcasts, videos, digital content and radio programmes to create awareness in masses and inspire them to take environmental and climate action, and prepare them for green jobs.

For this purpose, the initiative has set up (1) Yuva Sustainability Champion Awards; (2) Online Internship Programme. If you are 18-29 year old, you can apply for either or both. If you want to apply for both, fill up both forms.

      *Note:

      1. The applicant should stay within the confines of law and hold complete moral and legal responsibility for the work created and uploaded.

      2. AI generated content is not acceptable in Awards category

      3. Entries should be in English or Hindi. Principal content should be English and/or in Hindi.

      4. The content, including all footage, should be original or sourced through copyright free repositories.

      5. If any copyrighted content is used, the creator will be responsible for obtaining requisite permission for its usage.

      Call for Entries

      Voices of Bharat
      Youth for Sustainability

      A nationwide initiative to empower youth to use the power of storytelling to sensitise masses and inspire environmental action.

      Students are invited to submit short YouTube shorts showcasing creative ideas, actions, or messages to advance climate action to build a sustainable world.

      Specifications

        • Length: 30 to 60 seconds

        • Format: MP4

        • Orientation: Vertical (9:16)

        • Language: English or Hindi

        • Submission Deadline: 20 June 2025

        • Eligibility: Open to graduate and post-graduate students

      What is in it for students

        • Top 3 shorts will be felicitated with cash awards at the project-end event showcasing the selected submissions of students. 

        • Students whose submissions are accepted will be awarded certificates of participation.

        • Selected shorts would be also featured on the initiative website and social media handles.

        • Shortlisted students will be offered rolling internship opportunities for creating and publishing stories and social media content on its digital platforms.

        • Outstanding students will be offered opportunities for producing and broadcasting podcasts on All India Radio.

        • All participants will be invited to join online or on-ground or hybrid orientation classes by sustainability and media experts.

        • Entries should be accompanied by a 100 word description about the submission.

        • All submissions should be accompanied by brief bio, high-resolution front-facing photo, social media handles and contact details of the student making submission.
