In a quiet farming village, where the pace of life followed the rhythm of the seasons, I as a young girl watched my mother and grandparents give new life to ordinary objects. A torn cloth became a cleaning rag, a tin container found its third or fourth use, and leftovers were transformed into the next day’s meal. Waste was almost unheard of in the Vaghasiya household. Years later, these small lessons in frugality and care for resources would become the foundation of my entrepreneurial journey.

What began as a quiet dream is now an enterprise with a clear mission of transforming waste into beauty and designing eco-conscious acoustic solutions that serve both purpose and aesthetics.

Born and raised in a small farming village, I grew up in a home where nothing ever went to waste. My mother and grandparents lived by the principles of repairing, repurposing, and reusing almost everything, a quiet practice of sustainability long before the term became widely recognised.

The day after completing my bachelor’s examinations, I didn’t take a break or search for a conventional job and stepped directly into entrepreneurship. I began cultivating mushrooms, managing my own small farm while simultaneously pursuing my master’s degree. My routine was a testament to sheer determination tending to the farm at dawn, catching the city bus for lectures and practical sessions, returning in the afternoon to prepare the next batch, and later teaching tuition classes before finally heading home to rest.

Despite dedicating three years to the mushroom business, it didn’t achieve the success it had hoped for. Undeterred, I shifted to trading and importing Japanese food groceries. This venture lasted over three years and gave me valuable business experience. Yet, deep down,

I longed for something more meaningful, something that aligned with my values and my belief in innovation with purpose. Recognising this, I decided to step away from the trading business and channel my energy into building something that truly resonated with me.
In 2021, Ecoterra Biodesign was born. Like many young enterprises, the early days were filled with experiments, challenges, and pivots. While the product offering evolved, commitment to sustainability and circular economy principles remained consistent.

Today, we have carved a niche in sustainable acoustic solutions, using patent-pending technology to manufacture high-performance acoustic materials. The range includes wall and ceiling panels, diffusers, and modular, movable acoustic booths designed for corporate offices, auditoriums, co-working spaces, recording studios, and more. With plug-and-play installation and a clean, modern aesthetic, their products help organisations create better sound environments without compromising on sustainability.

Our vision is to lead the future of acoustic design by setting global standards in sustainability, clean design, and environmental impact there by creating spaces that sound better, feel better, and do better for the Earth. We aim to transform waste into beauty and create sustainable, high-performance, and clean product designs that speak to both purpose and aesthetics.
