Eco Saathi began with a simple but powerful idea of replacing single-use plastic with practical, biodegradable alternatives while creating livelihoods for local communities. Today, we collaborate with over 20 artisans across Odisha, Tripura, and Assam, building a network where sustainability, culture, and social empowerment thrive together. Through Eco Saathi, we make sustainability tangible; we help eco-conscious consumers adopt plastic-free, toxin-free products while supporting indigenous craftsmanship. By integrating environmental responsibility with social impact, we ensure that communities and ecosystems prosper together. With a mission to reduce plastic and air pollution, the venture offers eco-friendly and biodegradable products crafted from bamboo, neem wood, crop residue, sabai grass, and jute. Founded in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Eco Saathi combines environmental responsibility with social empowerment, ensuring that both the planet and local communities benefit.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Eco Saathi contributes to SDG-3 (Good Health and Well-Being) through toxin-free products, SDG-8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by empowering artisans and farmers, SDG-12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by offering sustainable alternatives, and SDG-13 (Climate Action) by reducing pollution. To date, the initiative has prevented approximately 50 tons of CO2 emissions, showcasing tangible environmental impact alongside social empowerment. By connecting eco-conscious consumers with indigenous artisans and farmers, the startup is creating a model where communities thrive alongside nature. Through innovation, inclusion, and a commitment to responsible living, Eco Saathi is proving that small changes at the grassroots level can lead to a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for all.
